Keyword Research Services – I’m Testing The Instacash Keyword Service, Follow Me While I Test

Chances are you struggle (like I do) with finding good keywords. Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. Most of what I find are useless though.

I thought the data from Google’s keyword tool was always bang on. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Turns out they do and they don’t.

The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it probably was at the time they put it together. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.

I targeted a keyword that ‘said’ it had about 5000 competing web pages. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. I started banging articles out left right and centre. Hundreds in fact.

Pretty soon I noticed over 9000 competitors. I was downhearted at this new revelation. Maybe it was going to be far more difficult than I imagined. It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.

The point I’m trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. A nice situation to be in!

Not wanting to rely on luck every time I thought I’d try a keyword research service. My hope was to get some ‘killer’ keywords delivered by email every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.

I chose to give Travis Sago’s Instacash keyword service a go. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.

If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.

I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. And what I’m trying here is simply that. I’m outsourcing my keyword research to a professional service.

If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. I also mention earlier about thousands of articles published for one keyword. I’ll explain how I did that on my site.
